Ugandan Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho has joined Tanzanian Premier League outfit Young Africans Soccer Club, the Daily Express has learnt.
Aucho, 28 signed a two-year contract with the Tanzanian side becoming the most expensive player in the club’s history.
Young Africans, who finished second in the 2020/21 Tanzania Premier League, will represent the country in the CAF Champions League along with Simba Soccer Club.
Club official Hersi Said said that the club is happy to sign a good player who can help the team win several trophies.
“We believe Aucho brings to the team something special. We are still building and signing more players,” added Said.
Aucho left Egyptian Premier League side Misr Lel Makkasa last week after his two-year contract expired.
The midfielder has previously played for Tusker FC and Gor Mahia FC in Kenya, Serbian sides Red Star Belgrade and OFK Beograd, and East Bengal and Churchill Brothers of India.
