The Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) Examinations Results are likely released this week according to the national examinations body, UNEB.

This was announced by the Education Ministry who stated through a tweet that UNEB officials will this week on Wednesday, August 18, brief the Minister of Education and Sports Mrs. Janet Museveni on the performance of students ahead of the release of the results.

“UNEB will be briefing the Minister of Education and Sports on the UACE 2020 results on Wednesday, August 18 2021. Thereafter, the date for releasing of the results will be communicated,” tweeted the Ministry of Education on Monday.

This is set to be the third set of results from the National Examinations to be released after the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results that were released last month.

Despite the continued release of finalists’ results, the fate of school reopening remains unknown as Mrs. Museveni put preconditioning of vaccinating all learners and teachers prior to schools resuming classes. The Minister also ordered private schools to stop online applications for senior one and senior five until they give an official communication.

President Museveni during his last national address on Covid-19 noted that the government has added children between the age of 12-18 years to the covid-19 vaccination program and it remains unclear whether all learners will have to wait until they are vaccinated to get back to school or not.
