UNEB to Release 2020 UACE Results on Friday

KAMPALA, UGANDA: The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has set Friday, August 20, as the date to release the results from the 2020 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) Exams, officials have confirmed.

This was confirmed in a short statement released on Wednesday evening through UNEB’s official Twitter account which stated that the Education Minister and First lady Hon. Janet K Museveni will officiate the release of the much anticipated UACE results at State House, Nakasero in Kampala.

According to UNEB, 98,393 learners sat for UACE examinations in April 2021. Of these 57,264 were female while the rest were males from 2,339 centers across the country.

The 2020 UACE Results will be scientifically released on Friday in an event that will be broadcast live on all national television channels, radio stations, and several other media platforms.

This scientific procedure is to ensure proper adherence to the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as directed by the Ministry of Health, so as to prevent the spread of the virus.

This is set to be the third set of results from the National Examinations to be released after the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results that were released last month.

Upon Release of the UACE Results, candidates will receive the results using the Short Message Services (SMS) on mobile phones following the procedure below;

Go to SMS and type “UACE,” leave a space, then type index number for example UACE U2769/018 and send it to 6600 on networks as will be specified by the board at the time of the release of the results.
