GOMBA DISTRICT, UGANDA: Police in Gomba district is hunting for Vincent Katumba, who is believed to be the prime suspect in the murder of Rev Fr. Josephat Kasambula.
Katumba is suspected to have stabbed the catholic priest to death on Wednesday when he went to inspect his property in Kikunyu village, Mamba Parish in Kyegonza sub-county.

According to information from residents, Rev. Kasambula, who has been serving in Lwamata Catholic Parish had taken more than 2 years without visiting his property.
He was reportedly shocked to find the suspect occupying his house and utilizing his land without his consent.
Lydia Tumushabe, the Katonga Region Police Spokesperson says that when the priest arrived at his property, the suspect got angry and stabbed him with a knife in the back
Robert Kisakye, one of the residents says that the priest first sent his nephews to check his property after receiving information that someone was using it illegally but the suspect chased them violently.
Rev. Fr Ibrahim Kayemba, a priest in Mmamba Parish in Gomba district described the incident and death of his colleague as a shock.
