The Minister of Education, Ms Janet Museveni, will today, Friday, August, 20 release the 2020 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examination results.
The event will be held at State House, Nakasero starting at 12:00 noon.
Just like the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and UCE Results, which were released last month, the 2020 UACE results will also be released scientifically with a few officials attending physically.
According to UNEB, a total of 98,393 learners sat for UACE examinations in April 2021. Of these 57,264 were female while the rest were males.
The release comes at a time when all Education Institutions, except Medical Schools, are still closed to physical interactions due to the Covid-19 situation.
Upon Release of the UACE Results, candidates, parents and other stakeholders can check how they performed using the Short Message Services (SMS) by typing “UACE,” <space>, followed by their candidate’s number e.g; UACE U2769/018 and send it to 6600 on networks at a cost of just shs500.
Unlike previous results releases where successful candidates would gather at schools for merrymaking, this time no communal celebrations will expect due to the guidelines on Covid-19.
School administrators will also not receive hard copies instantly due to restrictions on gatherings and movements. UNEB will instead inform the district, municipal and city inspectors of schools to collect the hard copies of the results from UNEB at a later date.
