UNTOLD STORY: How Aligoi Residents are in battle to get Government Hoes

BUKEDEA DISTRICT: As you’re already aware of the government program to supply the hoes to villages in order to boost agriculture, many villages and sub-counties are still crying Aligoi sub-county not spared.

The issue of distributing hoes in the Aligoi sub-county, Bukedea district has taken a new twist as locals refuse hoes on grounds that they are less.

According to the Chairperson NRM Aligoi sub-county Mr. Samson Wabimbi, he says, it’s true, Aligoi Sub-county has not received any hoe because the hoes the district brought to Aligoi sub-county are not the number they had agreed earlier. Samson further revealed that the district LCV has promised to buy some hoes in order to get the number but all in vain.

When Online Updates contacted the LC3 Aligoi sub-county Mr Khaukha, he acknowledged that his people have refused to receive hoes the district is giving them because there is something fishy surrounding the whole matter.

Aligoi sub county is among the 16 subcounties that make up Bukedea district and this subcounty was curved from Kachumbala old sub county which is now a county.

However, when online updates tried to reach out to the LCV Bukedea district for a comment about the matter, it all yielded no fruit since the chairman’s known number was not going through
