ADJUMANI, UGANDA: The Adjumani district council speaker Mr. Oloya Jackson has finally put to rest the wild speculation over the whereabouts of second deputy prime minister and MP for Adjumani West Gen. Moses Ali when he reported to the council that he is receiving treatment abroad.
During the opening of the 1st ordinary council session of the Sixth council that was held yesterday, September 14, 2021, Speaker Oloya said the MP Adjumani West Gen. Moses Ali could not attend the council meeting because he was flown abroad for medical attention.
The speaker held that by law all MPs are supposed to attend council sessions since they are not strangers but ex-officio members.
He hailed the Adjumani East MP Mamawi James for being in attendance and also received the apology of the Woman MP Ababiku Jesca.
Gen. Moses Ali has not visited his constituency after the swearing-in of MPs and cabinet ministers, there were scanty media reports that he was taken ill which could not be independently verified by parliament and close family sources.
A source close to the family now divulges that the aging Gen.Moses Ali, was flown to Turkey’s capital Ankara for treatment almost two months ago but the type of ailment he was suffering from and the magnitude was not clear.
The same family source however revealed that the veteran politician has now recovered and is due to jet in Entebbe on September 18, 2021.
