KAMPALA, UGANDA: NBS TV Journalist Canary Mugume on Saturday, September 18 tied the knot with his longtime fiance Fiona Naggirinya aka Sasha Ferguson in a multimillion wedding that threw netizens in awe.
The two love birds having dated for almost decades on Saturday exchanged vows at their ‘all white’ scientific wedding held at Pastor Kayanja’s Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral and later in the afternoon welcomed their guests at the lavish and swanky Speke Resort in Munyonyo.
However, Canary Mugume’s wedding was not ordinary as it was attended by most prominent persons in the country, including Uganda’s richest man, Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia.
Dr. Sudhir who rarely attends weddings was spotted in person attending Canary’s wedding reception at his Speke Resort and Conference Centre in Munyonyo, showing how much connected he is to the youthful journalist who is only 26 years old.
The lavish wedding was also attended by the head of the State House Anti Corruption Unit, Brig Edith Nakalema, NRM’s Vice President in the Eastern Region, Capt. Mike Mukula, Seasoned Journalist Andrew Mwenda, Hon. Margaret Muhanga, and former Vision group Chief Mr. Robert Kabushenga among others.
