KAMPALA, UGANDA: Uganda Cranes forward Muhammad Shaban has returned to Onduparaka Football Club, four years since departing the Arua-based club for KCCA Football club.
Shaban, who last played for Vipers SC last season has penned down a two-year contract keeping him at his childhood club until 2023 with an option for renewal.
Onduparaka took to Twitter on Monday morning to announce the return of their former club captain and talismanMuhammad Shaban.
Shaban’s career
Following his controversial move to KCCA FC in 2017, Shaban moved to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca where he failed to impress and was rescued to join Kitende-based Vipers SC in 2019 where he has faced the hardest times of his career marred with injuries.
Muhammad Shaban rose to the limelight when he helped Onduparaka earn a promotion to the Uganda Premier League in 2014 and captained them during the 2016/2017 Uganda premier league before departing them for the Kasasiro boys.
He now returns to Onduparaka in an attempt to revive his career. The club has offered him the No. 9 jersey and the captain armband to lead the club in the forthcoming StarTimes Uganda Premier League 2021/22 Season.
