Former Namilyango Headteacher, Dr. Kibuuka passes on

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Dr. Kibuuka Perigine, the former headteacher of Namilyango College School has died. The celebrated educationist served at Namilyango College for 15 years.

Kibuuka according to reports gathered by this publication died at his home at Magere, Gayaza in Wakiso district.

His death was confirmed on Monday evening by Gerald Muguluma who was his predecessor. Muguluma says Kibuuka was operated on three weeks back as he was suffering from arthritis.
‘Though he left hospital and went back home, he has not walked again,’ Muguluma told this website.

A teacher of Literature in English, Dr. Kibuuka joined Namilyango College in 1966 as a student in Senior Five. He went back seven years later as an English language and Literature teacher.

Kibuuka was the school headteacher between 1986 and 2001. He was a very principled man who stood by his word.
