KAMPALA, UGANDA: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to deliver a prime-time national address this week on Thursday, October 28, 2021, State House Press has confirmed.
According to the press secretary to the President, Ms. Lindah Nabusayi, Mr. Museveni will in his Thursday address provide an update to the Nation on the Covid-19 situation and any other related issues.
“President @KagutaMuseveni will update Ugandans on the current #COVID19 situation & any other related issues on Thursday 28th October 2021” Nabusayi tweeted Monday morning.
The presidential address like other previous broadcasts will be telecast live on all Television and Radio stations starting at 8 pm.
Mr. Museveni’s address comes just days after suspected terrorists attacked and killed one person in Digida pork joint explosion on Saturday night last week.
The bomb attack on a pork joint in Kampala last weekend left one person dead and three injured.
The President in reaction to the attack described this as the “action of the parasite pigs.”
He also asked the public not to fear, adding “we shall defeat this criminality like we have defeated all the other criminality committed by the pigs who don’t respect life.”
