KAMPALA, UGANDA: Speke Apartments Wampewo today hosted Uganda’s first cake mixing ceremony in an event held at La Cabana restaurant in Kampala. The much-attended event took place at the Restaurant’s poolside lounge kicking off at 4 pm, East African time.

Cake mixing is an activity that follows a definite process of putting the elaborate cake ingredients together, mixing them, and then waiting till the mixture is ready for baking and distribution to residents and invited guests.

As one of the most awaited traditional rituals that mark the onset of Christmas, Cake mixing involves a harbinger of good tidings which is meant to usher in the festive season.

The aim of organizing the event was to create a fun and engaging experience where the residents and invited guests will be involved in the cake mixing process with some engaging activities like networking over cocktails, sparkling wine.
