Fish Farmers receive Feeds from operation wealth creation

Farmers receiving fish feeds in Kikuube

KIKUUBE, UGANDA: The government of Ugandan through operation wealth creation has donated fish feeds to fish Farmers in Kikuube District to boost their business.

The feeds were received last evening from operation wealth creation and were later handed over to the district leaders who later gave them out to the farmers.

Nicholas Kiiza the Kikuube District Secretary for production and natural resources says the feeds will benefit over 20 farmers from Kikuube Town council, Kyangwali, and Kiziranfumbi Sub counties.

According to Kiiza, the fish feedstock worth 95 million shillings were equal to 900 kilograms.
“Am calling upon all farmers who received these feeds properly to make sure they benefit your projects, I know some may want to sale off part of the feeds given to you, but as district leaders, we shall monitor how the feeds have been utilized and punish if any found”. Said Hon Kiiza.

Peter Banura the Kikuube District Chairperson commended farmers to engage in fishing since it is the easiest business since it does not require a lot of time.
“Fishing farming is the easiest business to start because no much land, time and capital required, so farmers elsewhere who have not yet joined this business, your highly welcomed to join”. Said Hon. Banura.
