Meera Investments kicks off construction of Paradise Island Resort, set to open next year

Meera Investments has commenced the construction of Paradise Island Resort on Lake Victoria

Meera Investments, the estate development arm of the Ruparelia Group, has commenced construction of a Resort on one of the Islands of Lake Victoria. This is a move geared towards the boosting of both domestic and international tourism treating travellers with a bit of pampering and seclusion in the paradise.

Located 20-minutes away by speed boat from Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, Paradise Island Resort is bound to be a draw for honeymooning couples as well as retreat-seeking guests.

Ruparelia Group’s founder and chairman, billionaire Sudhir Ruparelia in an exclusive interview says the project being undertaken by Rajiv and Sheena Ruparelia will open in the 3rd quarter of 2022.

He revealed that the resort that will boast of 10 Standard cottages, 11 standard cliff hunger cottages, 14 units of Deluxe cottages (2BHK) and 3 beautifully appointed Executive Villas which will enable guests experience the wonder of Lake Victoria and the ambiance of the island.

The Resort’s main building will also have a gym and health spa, conference rooms, restaurant, bar, Hotel standard rooms, meeting rooms, swimming pool with water slides and a Sports beach.

According to Rajiv Ruparelia, the Group’s Managing Director, there will also be a riding / jogging track, function grounds, sailors bar and an arrival building with a mini museum as well as a marina restaurant offering unmatched sunset views.

“Paradise Island Resort will not only set the bar for exclusivity, with a mid range to luxury lifestyle, but will remain in harmony with nature,” Rajiv said, adding that all this combined with the loving care of the resorts staff will make any guests holiday at Paradise Island not only intriguing but also relaxing and memorable.

A kids sand play area, fishing/ sun set viewing deck, Zip line connecting two islands, Marina and basketball court will also be in place.

Paradise Island Resort is surely bound to be one of the most sought-after leisure and lifestyle destinations in Uganda.

The Ruparelia Group of Companies, the conglomerate undertaking this project is a has spanned investments widening over in education, real estate development and management, hotels, resorts, floriculture and broadcasting.
