KIBALE, UGANDA; A 16-year-old girl in Kibale district is accusing her 60-year-old father of allegedly abusing her sexual rights after a divorce from her mother.
The girl whose names were withheld says her father identified as Foste Mukiga a resident of Kyamugasa village in Nyamarwa Sub-county in Kibale district for several times have been forcing her to have sex and threatens her to kill her in case she reveals these secrets.
“Mukiga also took me to the health facility for family planning services so to control pregnancy and the coil was put in my left arm”. The girl said.
Annet Katusiime the mother of the 16-year-old girl says that she divorced Mukiga a few years back and left her daughter with the Dad but was shocked by the way how her daughter was sexually abused by her real father.
“I reported this case to Nyamarwa police Post and Mukiga was arrested but unfortunately he was later released after a few days of arrest”. Katusiime said.
Deborah Mbabazi the Kibale Resident District Commissioner also the head of security in the district has condemned the act and has directed police to rearrest the unmerciful man.
“This is a serious crime because it is an incest case at the same time rape, and therefore this man should be rearrested and taken for the charges of violating sexual rights of his daughter”. Mbabazi said.
