KAGADI, UGANDA: At least two people have been reported died on spot in a fatal accident on Kagadi- Kikuube- Hoima Road on Thursday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Kiiza Shaban aged 25 a resident of Kyabasara village, Kimbugu Parish Kabwoya Subcounty in Kikuube District, and Allan Shira aged 26 a resident of Kyamutunzi trading centre in Kagadi District.
It is alleged the duo were riding a motorcycle registration number UEY 048R from Kagadi heading to Kyabasara village in Kikuube District at around midnight.
However, on their way, they knocked a trailer of cement which was parked on the roadside in Nyabutanzi trading centre, Mabaale town council in Kagadi District leading to death.
Our reporter tried to contact the Kagadi Central Police station for more details about the incident but all in vein.
Alex Akampulira the Kagadi district traffic Officer confirmed the incident but he did not give much information about the incident.
“In this Christmas season, people like traveling, but traveling is accompanied by accidents, but what causes accidents is over-excitement, over-drinking, bragging among others hence misusing the roads whereby as am talking right now in Mabaale Sub-county two died on spot”. Akampulira said.
