This then begs the next question, how best do you spend your Xmas season. Worry not, Speke Resort Munyonyo has prepared their biggest Christmas festival dubbed 12 Days of Christmas fully packed with amazing goodies for the entire festive season.

#1: You are guaranteed excellent service

#2: Every day has an activity
From 24th December to 4th January, the team at Speke Resort has prepared an activity for you and your family to make this Christmas remarkable. From a Christmas eve dinner, to Christmas Day lunch to brunch on Boxing Day, Happy hour, cocktails all until you can drum away 2020 and usher in 2021 with a special dinner on 31st and New Year’s brunch on 1st January 2021. To settle into the new year, there will be a family movie night, Sunday family roast and family drumming evening on 2nd, 3rd and 4th January respectively.
#3: Specially Discounted Accommodation
Since you cannot travel to the village, you can treat yourself and your family to a couple of nights at the Speke Resort Hotel. Rooms will be available for as low as USD139 at full board including breakfast., lunch and dinner and access to the pool and gymnasium.
For Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the Single Deluxe Room, Double Deluxe room and One-bedroom suite will charge USD176, USD262 and USD293 respectively. The Superior room and Executive will both charge USD324 during the period, and the Executive room, which also accommodates two people will charge USD510.
You can become a president at Speke Resort Munyonyo by staying in the Presidential cottage and Presidential suite at USD647 and USD832 per night. Please note, each of these expansive options can accommodate up to 4 people.
After Christmas Day to 10th January, the Single Deluxe Room, Double Deluxe Room and one-bedroom suite will charge USD139, USD188 and USD219 respectively. Both the Superior and executive rooms that accommodate two people will take each charge USD250, and the Executive suite will charge USD436.
For those who would love to spend the season like presidents, the Presidential cottage and Presidential suite that both accommodate four people will be available at USD498 and USD684 respectively.
#4: There will be plenty of food.
On Christmas day, there will be an Around the World Christmas Lunch prepared by well-trained and experienced chefs served at the Speke Resort poolside. The lunch, like its name states, will consist of various traditional and continental foods for your liking. It will available to even nonresidents of the hotel and adults will pay UGX 175,000 and Kids under 14 years will pay UGX 75,000 only. The fee includes taxes, comes with a complimentary glass of bubbly and is exclusive of other drinks.
In the evening on Christmas, there will be a dinner at the Nyanja lakeside where adults will pay UGX 80,000 and children under 14 years will pay UGX 45,000 only.
Aside from Christmas Day, there will be a Christmas eve dinner where adults will pay UGX 75,000 and children under 14 years will pay UGX 45,000. There will be a Bubbly brunch on Boxing day where adults will pay UGX 80,000 and children under 14 years will pay UGX 45,000.
Of course to usher in the new year, there will be a Chef’s New year’s dinner, a bottomless brunch on New year’s with lots of food for all the guests of Speke Resort Munyonyo to enjoy.
#5: Happy hours
Speke Resort does not only cater for your food needs, but it also caters for the lovers of drinks as well. The Terrace has a variety of drinks from beers to wine and cocktails. This festive season on 28th December, the Lake Terrace will have an all-day Happy Hour. On top of the Happy Hour there will also be Live Entertainment with a DJ from 6 pm.
#6: Movie Night
The Lake Terrace Gardens will be turned into cinemas for movie nights for families and children as well. On 24th, 26th, 29th and 1st, Speke Resort has specially dedicated the movie nights for children as their parents go on to relax and enjoy the different amenities at the resort, the children will be watching movies. On 2nd January, the entire family will come together to bond as they watch a specially selected movie.
#7: Live Entertainment
Not everyone can sing with their voices and entertain people naturally. Speke Resort has prepared live entertainment with a band to perform on Christmas Day, the 27th, New Year’s and on 3rd January. You will get to listen to some of your favourite songs performed live by excellent vocalists.
There will also be a DJ to provide entertainment when there is no live band. All this entertainment will go during and after meals to keep you relaxed and entertained.
#8: Activities for children
Many times parents want to leave their children home because they may not be catered for, but Speke Resort Munyonyo has a plan for the children every day. Aside from having lowered food prices for them, they will have Santa Claus, face painting, swimming, balloon twisting, a jumping castle and a clown on Christmas day, so parents can get to enjoy their time together as the children play in a safe and secure play area.
On Boxing day, the Kids will have a movie night to relax, and they will take part in the family drumming night on 30th December to drum away the old year and prepare to welcome a new year. Even on 4th January they will be able to drum and celebrate the coming for a new year.
