KIKUUBE, UGANDA: The Buhaguzi East Mp Hon. Aseera Steven Itaza has donated a brand new medical ambulance worth 250 million shillings to Kikuube District for people from rural areas especially the poor to access health facilities.
According to the legislator, the donation was a fulfillment of his pledge made to the people of Buhaguzi East during the election campaigns.
On Tuesday afternoon the legislator handed over the ambulance to the health department at Buhimba town council headquarters.
“People more especially pregnant women and the elderly people have been facing difficulties in accessing health facilities due to long distances and this has forced me to buy this ambulance for them so as to ease their movement”. Hon. Aseera said.
Meanwhile Pius Wakabi Rujumba the Bugahya MP who was the chief guest of the launch thanked Hon. Aseera Steven for spending a lot of money to buy the ambulance and asked Buhaguzi East residents to utilize the ambulance effectively.
“We need such leaders who is easily accessed by his voters not like the past leaders so utilize him as your savior and also utilize the ambulance donated to you effectively”. Hon. Wakabi said.
