Kampala Parents announces job offer for CCTV Operator ahead of School Reopening

Kampala Parents School (KPS), a leading private mixed primary school in the city has announced a job offer seeking to recruit a Closed-Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) operator ahead of the full reopening of the school this month.

In an announcement via the school socials, Kampala Parents says the CCTV Operator must possess a Certificate in Security Vigilance and Cameras plus a minimum of a Diploma in Information Technology, or a related field. Knowledge of computer operations and internet basics is key, according to the hiring school.

”We are looking for a CCTV operator. Must have a diploma or certificate in Security Vigilance and I.T.,” the school announced.

Job Requirements for a CCTV Operator

According to security experts, the CCTV Operator job entrusts you with many responsibilities, ranging from operating and monitoring banks of screens, reporting incidents as evidence, and potentially contacting the police and emergency services as and when required.

For the role to be completed efficiently, a CCTV operator needs to be exceedingly observant with a high level of concentration, and be able to divide their attention in order to monitor multiple occurrences taking place in a single setting.

Most importantly, a CCTV operator must be quick thinking, using their initiative whilst reacting quickly and calmly during emergencies.

Throughout every duty undertaken, CCTV operators must be diligent, maintain integrity and accuracy, and ensure the confidentiality of all information gained by compliance in line with standards and legislation.
