OP-ED: Thanks to UNRA for the State of Art Marvel of Entebbe Expressway

The four lane paying road which was constructed to improve traffic in Kampala metropolitan has also improved the image of Uganda to visitors from Entebbe national airport.

What started as a concept on paper in 2014, it is now a 36.9 kilometer dual carriage state of the art marvel that welcomes you when you reach at one of the interchages at Busega, Kajjansi, Lweza and Abayita ababiri.

The four lane paying road which was constructed to improve traffic in Kampala metropolitan has also improved the image of Uganda to visitors from Entebbe national airport.

For investors and tourists who visit may be motivated to stay around more here since in business,the first impression matters.This improves urban development and job creation for Ugandans.

According to the designs,the expressway is compressed one metre thick and each lane has a width of 3.65metres.it is also designed to have four major interchanges to facilitate interconnection.

These are Busega, Kajjansi, Lweza,and Abayitababiri hence making it accessible to motorists.The three toll plazas have already been set up at Busega, Kajansi and Abayita ababiri to help motorists to transact.

The expressway road which has been constructed by China Communication Construction Company has speed limits where the Busega-Entebbe Airport strech has a speedlimit of 100 kilometre per hour while the Munyonyo stretch is 80km per hr.The road which was commissioned by President Yoweri Kaguta Museven in 2014, also has 19 flyovers and 17 underpasses.

Thanks to Gen.Yoweri Kaguta Museven and NRM government for this mega infrastructure which is our gateway from Entebbe international Airport.
