HOIMA: 30-year-old man arrested for allegedly killing brother

The suspect is alleged to have killed his brother Oscar Businge aged 35 a resident of the same village on Friday morning at around 2 am on way back home from a bar where Musara was buzzing from.

HOIMA, UGANDA: Police in Hoima city has arrested a man in his 30s for allegedly killing his brother. The arrested has been identified as Robert Musara a resident of Mparo cell in Hoima East Division.

The suspect is alleged to have killed his brother Oscar Businge aged 35 a resident of the same village on Friday morning at around 2 am on way back home from a bar where Musara was boozing from.

According to the chairperson for Mparo south Daniel Tumwesige, the yet identified bar owner went to Businge’s home at around midnight to ask him to come and pick his brother in the bar for causing chaos.
“The Bar owner went to Businge’s home asking him to pick his brother from her bar as he was causing chaos, the deceased first refused but the bar owner insisted, he later decided to go and pick his brother but on their way home the suspect fought Businge and beat him up leading to his death”. Mr. Tumwesige said.

One of the eyewitnesses told DailyExpress that they rushed for help as the deceased was making alarms.
“After hearing alarms, we rushed to the scene and rescued the deceased whom we later rushed to a nearby health facility but unfortunately it was too late for us to save Businge’s life as he breathed his last air while on the way”. Said the Eye witness.

Iddi Magezi the Hoima East Division council attributed the incident to drug abuse and alcoholism.
