KAMPALA, UGANDA: Former Ethics & Integrity Minister Rev. Fr. Simon Lokodo will be buried Sunday, February 6, according to the burial program released Tuesday morning.
Fr. Lokodo was pronounced dead on Friday morning in Geneva Switzerland where had gone for official duties as a member of the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC), although the cause of death is expected to be revealed after the post mortem report has been produced.
According to a burial program, the body of the former minister will return from Switzerland, on Thursday, February 3, 2022. On Friday 4th January 2022, the body will arrive at Parliament for a special session and thereafter proceed for a requiem mass at Christ the King Church
On Saturday, the body will be taken to Kaabong district where it will lie in state for a special joint council session. Later a requiem mass will be held at Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church Kaabong
Thereafter, the body will be driven from Kaabong to Kapedo District (Ancestral Home for the vigil) and later the burial will be held on Sunday at the same venue.
