MASINDI, UGANDA: Patrick Baguma, the Masindi District Health Officer – DHO has been arrested on allegations of office misuse.
In a letter dated 31st January 2022 by the Masindi District CAO, Mrs. Phiona Ssanyu, the DHO is accused of failing to show accountability for the public funds and office mismanagement.
Baguma is also accused of being big-headed while making official decisions which resulted in government’s loss of revenue hence leading to poor service delivery in the district.
The DHO is further accused of failing to manage his office by disobeying the guidelines stipulated in his appointment letter.
However, Mrs. Ssanyu says, Baguma’s acts are not in line with the rules and regulations of public servants of 2020 as well stipulated by the Uganda Public Service.
According to the reports, Baguma was arrested yesterday afternoon in Kihande cell, Central Division in Masindi Municipality an operation made by Masindi police.
