Maj. Gen Kandiho appointed new Chief of Joint Staff at Uganda Police

Gen Kandiho has replaced Maj Gen Jack Bakasumba who has been appointed the Ugandan Delegate to the South Sudan Peace Monitoring Mechanism.

KAMPALA, UGANDA: President Museveni who doubles as the Chief Commander of the UPDF armed forces has appointed former CMI boss Maj Gen Abel Kandiho as the new Chief of Joint Staff of Uganda Police Force.

The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces – UPDF confirmed the appointment in a tweet sent out on Tuesday evening saying Gen Kandiho has replaced Maj Gen Jack Bakasumba who has been appointed the Ugandan Delegate to the South Sudan Peace Monitoring Mechanism.

“H.E the President and C -in- C of the UPDF has appointed Maj Gen Abel Kandiho as Chief of Joint Staff of Uganda Police Force replacing Maj Gen Jack Bakasumba who has been appointed the Ugandan Delegate to the South Sudan Peace Monitoring Mechanism,” a tweet on UPDF’s official Twitter account read Tuesday evening.
