KAMPALA, UGANDA: Motorsport Rally Ace Rajiv Ruparelia has through his Rally Team issued a tough warning to fraudsters circulating a fake post on social media with an aim of conning Ugandans their hard-earned money.

A poster that Rajiv’s Rally Team labeled as ‘Fake” that went viral this week claimed that Rajiv would be offering a special package to his fans heading to the Kaliro Sugar Rally at only UGX 120,000 provided they deposit 50000 (for the booking a slot).

The faked poster further claimed that at that outrageous fee, fans who would be entitled to transport and accommodation, this has since been strongly disclaimed by the tycoon’s rally team.

Responding to the matter, Rajiv’s Rally team has cautioned their fans to be careful and not be conned saying these are simply fraudsters with an aim of tarnishing the tycoon’s brand and that of his crew ahead of the much-anticipated rally.

“The management of Rajiv Ruparelia Rally Team would like to notify the general public that the above package is fake and warn those who intend to use the Team’s brand in any form of making profits or tarnish the RR team’s image,” the team warned.

The three-day Kaliro Sugar Rally is set to take place in areas of Iganga & Jinja from 11-13 March 2022.

Rajiv who earlier this year missed the Rukari rally in Mbarara confirmed his participation through his socials saying, ”On March 11th-13th, we take on the Kaliro Sugar rally as our first event of 2022. See you there, RR fans.” “It’s our first rally event of the year and we are excited! #KaliroSugarRally…Let’s go!”, he added.

Recently Rajiv flashed excitement over this rally in a tweet to his fans saying,”On March 11th-13th, we take on the Kaliro Sugar rally as our first event of 2022. See you there, RR fans. ?”

Under his “Rajiv Rally Team-Double Trouble” Rajiv who is navigated by Enock Olinga last year won Kabalega Rally competitions that were held in Hoima district after beating legendary drivers like Duncan Mubiru, Ronald Sebuguzi, Arthur Blick Junior, Alwi Hassan, Fred Busulwa among others.
