Kyambogo University Moves to Expel Students Caught Cheating in Exams

Earlier this year, a section of students at the university were summoned to court over examination malpractice regarding the examinations that were done last semester.

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Kyambogo University Management has resounded a warning to students saying those caught in any cases of examination malpractice risk being expelled from the institution.

This was revealed in a communique to students in the ongoing examinations warning that whoever is caught in any malpractice shall either have a dead year or be totally expelled from the University.

Earlier this year, a section of students at the university were summoned to court over examination malpractice regarding the examinations that were done last semester. These, have since been exempted from sitting the ongoing examinations pending investigations into the alleged malpractice.

This however has drawn mixed reactions with the newly elected Guild President Mr. Serge Tumwine appealing to the board to be considerate and allow the exempted students to have their examinations accordingly.

The Kyambogo University End of Semester examinations commended this week on Monday, March 14 March and will end April 10, 2022.
