UEFA Champions League quarter-final: Chelsea draw Real Madrid as Man City face Atletico

The other quarter-final tie sees Spanish side Villareal, last season’s Europa League winners, take on Bayern Munich after shocking Juventus in the last 16;

The draws of the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League quarter-final, semi-final have been announced with English Champions Manchester City facing Atletico Madrid among other ties.

Held on Friday 18 March at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, the UCL draws saw current champions Chelsea drawn against record-holders Real Madrid while Liverpool the other team from England face SL Benfica from Portugal.

The other quarter-final tie sees Spanish side Villareal, last season’s Europa League winners, take on Bayern Munich after shocking Juventus with a 3-0 win in Turin in the last 16 .

Manchester City edged Portuguese side Sporting CP 5-0 while Liverpool beat Inter Milan to progress from the last 16, whereas Chelsea eased past Lille OSC in the last 16 with a 4-1 aggregate score.

– Manchester City vs Atletico Madrid
– Villarreal vs Bayern Munich
– Benfica vs Liverpool

Manchester City and Chelsea are likely to meet in the semi-finals if both win their quarter-final ties, while either of Bayern or Villarreal will meet Liverpool or Benfica.
