Victoria University Kicks off Orientation Week for March Intake 2022

Officiating the first day of orientation, the Victoria University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lawrence Muganga urged the new students to make use of the available information wisely to ensure that they reap big from their educational journey.

Uganda’s leading private university, Victoria University Kampala has announced a full week of students’ orientation as its March-April Intake officially kicks off.

The 6-day-programme that will see new students get inducted into life at Kampala’s most prestigious institution officially began yesterday – Monday, March 21, and will end on Saturday, March 26th, 2022.

Officiating the first day of orientation, the Victoria University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lawrence Muganga urged the new students to make use of the available information wisely if they are to reap big from their educational journey.

Prof. Muganga said despite the world now being a forest of information able to give enough shade to a student, its only the best university that is able to irrigate that forest of information to the benefit of its students, and that is none other than Victoria University.

“Our duty is to offer students: an education that works for you to learn how to live, unlock your potential, and prepare thyself for the real world, not an artificial one, Muganga stated.

Adding that; “If Victoria university students (‘Victorian’) embraces that output, they will have answered ‘WHY’ they enrolled in a university that upholds thee.’

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs, Prof Augustine Osamor Ifelebuegu in his speech to the new Victorians appealed to them not to just be consumers of academia, but to challenge the facts, interrogate, and be critical thinkers to better their communities.
