Ian Rumanyika Resigns as URA Corporate Affairs Boss

A reliable source at URA tipped this website that effective April 5th, 2022, Rumanyika will no longer be staff at the institution, bringing an end to the position he has held since 2011.

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Mr. Ian Rumanyika, the Uganda Revenue Authority – URA’s Manager Public and Corporate Affairs has resigned from his position, after over 10 years at the helm of Uganda’s tax collecting body.

A reliable source at URA tipped this website that effective April 5th, 2022, Rumanyika will no longer be staff at the institution, bringing an end to the position he has held since 2011.

As a Manager Public and Corporate Affairs at URA, Rumanyika was directly in charge of Marketing and Public Relations, overseeing the entire PR operations at URA, stakeholder management, Service Management, Contact Centre, Change management, Corporate Brand Management, Media relations, and management.

Other responsibilities included Corporate Social Responsibility and Taxpayer Education and Awareness.

By press time, Rumanyika was yet to comment on the developments, but reports circulating point him at being poised for a big move in another government institution.
