KAMPALA, UGANDA: Gen. Yoweri Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces has promoted Hon. Charity Bainabaabo to the rank of Brigadier General and subsequently appointed her Deputy Commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC).
Bainabaabo, who is also one of the army’s representatives in Parliament, will be deputizing Brig Felix Bisoroozi, who was appointed Commander of the elite unit of the army, charged with the personal security of the president and the First Family, back in January.
In other reshuffles announced in a statement by Defence Ministry and Military spokesperson Brig. Felix Kulayigye’, Gen. Museveni also promoted Col David Mugisha to Brigadier General and appointed him Second in Command of the UPDF 3rd Division army.
The changes also see Lt Col Nathan Nabimanya promoted to Col and appointed Commander of the Special Forces Group (SFG).
