University Graduand Passes on Weeks to Her Graduation

According to reports, Nekesa who was a reporter with Eastern Voice FM finalist allegedly succumbed to a lethal drug she was injected with last week.

Kampala University community is in a sombre mood following the death of one of their own Fatuma Nekesa, who was a graduand of the upcoming graduation at the university. She was a finalist pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication at the University.

Nekesa’s death was on Thursday confirmed Mr Daniel Saire, the head of the department of mass communication at Kampala University.
“I have just got information that one of our former mass communication students Fatuma Nekesa was injected with a lethal drug and passed on,” Daniel wrote.

According to reports, Nekesa who was a reporter with Eastern Voice FM finalist allegedly succumbed to a lethal drug she was injected with last week.

Her fiancee Meddie Mugwa explained that she visited a clinic having developed pain in her stomach and while there, she was injected with a lethal drug that worsened her condition.

She was later rushed to Kibuli Hospital where she breathed her last from.

Kampala University graduation is scheduled to take place in June next month, and unfortunately, Fatuma Nekesa could not live long enough to witness her graduation.
