SAD: NTV Journalist collapses dead on Boda boda

Milton Opaco, the NTV Uganda correspondent based in Soroti died on Friday morning as he rushed to cover a story within Soroti city. He is said to have collapsed dead while seated on a boda boda.

SOROTI, UGANDA: Milton Opaco, the NTV Uganda journalist based in Soroti city has mysteriously passed on.

Opaco died on Friday morning as he rushed to cover a story within Soroti city. He is said to have collapsed dead while seated on a boda boda.

According to the late’s brother only identified as Oketch, Opaco has been living with diabetes and high blood pressure which some time back caused him a stroke but they were well managed.

He says deceased had not complained of any health issues lately and today’s attack took them by surprise.

He becomes the second NTV Uganda journalist to die in less than a month after James Babalanda (another cameraman attached to NTV & Daily Monitor) was last month found dead in his house in Mukono.

Opaco’s body has been taken to Soroti Hospital for a post mortem to establish of his sudden death.
