Daniel Lutaaya quits NBS TV after four years

Lutaaya who joined NBS as a reporter in 2018 has been one of the formidable figures at the station where he has been a senior journalist, investigative reporter and news anchor.

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Next Media journalist Daniel Lutaaya has confirmed he is leaving NBS Television after four years at the Naguru based station.

Through his official Twitter account (@DanielLutaaya), Lutaaya, a senior investigative journalist at the station announced that the recently concluded CHOGM was his last assignment for NBS TV, and today (June 30) is his last day with Next Media Services.

“Hello friends, CHOGM-Rwanda was my final assignment for @nbstv and today is my last day. A great 4 years at this great station have finally come to an end,” a tweet from his account reads.

He thanked his boss, Mr. Kin Kariisa for the mentorship and opportunity to work at one of the biggest media houses in the country.

“Thank you @KKariisa for the opportunity and mentorship. Thank you the NBS newsroom for the support,” he said, before adding; “To you, the viewers, thank you for watching and thank you for loving me, my stories and my ki-voice.? I can’t wait to tell you all about my next move.”

Daniel Lutaaya started his journalism on Joy FM then worked at Life TV and Galaxy FM before landing a job at then WBS Television where he worked for over 3 years gaining most of his experience on screen as a news anchor and Morning Show host.

After Kwese TV took over WBS TV, Daniel Lutaaya shifted to working in Sports on Kwese before being recruited by NBS TV in 2018 after he was handpicked by the Media CEO Kin Kariisa who was impressed by the journalist’s work at the previous media company WBS TV.
