WATCH: CCTV captures gunman shooting man dead at restaurant as waiter looks on

The 20-minute video incident captured by CCTV cameras in place on July 08, 2022 at a yet to be known location shows a man who appeared to be in his late 20s relaxing at a table near the roadside as he awaits to have his meal before the assailant armed with a riffle walks in.

A video of a man being shot by an unknown assailant while relaxing at a restaurant has gone viral on social media leaving many in shock of the gruesome incident.

The 20-minute video incident captured by CCTV cameras in place on July 08, 2022 at a yet to be known location shows a man who appeared to be in his late 20s relaxing at a table near the roadside as he awaits to have his meal before the assailant armed with a riffle walks in.

The victim whose details also remained unknown by press time sat with his back facing the roadside an assumption which gave the killer position to approach him unaware.

The killer appearing in a dark jacket and an already coached riffle then appears from the back and shot his target in the head killing him on an instant before disappearing from the scene.

At the time of the shooting, the video shows a waiter at the restaurant looking on shocked of the gruesome incident.

The Uganda Police when contacted to verify whether the video was captured from Uganda declined to comment on the same and instead promised to get back to this reporter after thorough investigation.

The Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson however independently told to this website when contacted that the incident according to the video didn’t take place in Uganda.

He, however, didn’t provide further details to support his statement but also promised an investigation was to be done by the CCTV review team come up with a conclusion.

The video incident comes at a time when police and sister security agencies are grappling with increased cases of gun attacks which has recently put the security of the country, especially in urban centers at a stake.

Most recently, two armed gunmen attacked a supermarket in Mukono last month, shooting a cashier and taking off with an unspecified amount of money, although these, together with others behind the spate of robberies in the district were arrested and arraigned before the law.
