Kampala International School Uganda Unveils New Teachers From Oxford-London

As schools continue to prepare for the new term starting next week, Kampala International School Uganda (KISU) has unveiled new teachers including Mr. Garry Tyrrell from Oxford, London.

Tyrrell is equipped with a huge experience and teaching skills following his journey of transforming lives through education in countries like UK, Malaysia, Kenya and now at KISU where he is going to be teaching French.

KISU is an international school that has a primary section for students aged 2 to approximately 10/11 years of age. It broadly follows the National Curriculum for England, modified to take into account the school’s location and international student body.

KISU is blessed with a truly international staff and student body made up of over 50 nationalities as well as a palpably warm, tolerant and welcoming ethos but to these inherent advantages, it has added over the years a wide range of events, strategies and activities designed to shape and develop the whole child.

The school, located in Bukoto, a Kampala Urban Suburb adopted the use of the internet to conduct classes when early last when the first lockdown was announced and has since ensured continuous and uninterrupted learning throughout up to date.
