Gen Kahinda Otafiire officially joins social media

KAMPALA, UGANDA: The Minister of Internal Affairs, Rtd. Maj. Gen Kahinda Otafiire has finally succumbed to social media wave and join the Twitter platform.

Otafiire whose twitter handle is @otafiire_k said in a Tuesday tweet that he joined the social messaging app to dispute the fake accounts that had all along been created by masqueraders in his name.

“I have joined the Twitter application in my official capacity. Ignore all the fake Twitter accounts opened by conmen with malicious intent. I was not aware of those accounts and did not sanction them,” he tweeted

Otafiire registered in the FRONASA/NRA on No. RO 0014 is the second most living senior army officer after Museveni who is R0 001.

He previously served as the Justice & Constitutional Affairs in the Ugandan Cabinet. He was appointed to that position of 27 May 2011.

He is also Chairman Global Pan African Movement and Member of Parliament representing Ruhinda Constituency.
