WAKISO, UGANDA: Police in Bulenga, Wakiso district is actively investigating an aggravated robbery case involving six thugs who stormed a hardware shop in Bulenga and took off with nine million shillings, a private security gun and a motorcycle.

It is alleged that the thugs hit the shop at about 3:00 am and disarmed the two security guards (one had a gun and another a baton) who were guarding the shop before tying them together with ropes.

The robbers were still cutting the metallic door to the shop when a Boda Boda rider came to park his motorcycle but was also tied up together with the security guards.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman says the thugs cut metallic door, accessed drawer and took off with loots.

“After gaining access to the shop, they robbed 9 million shillings, a gun and a motorcycle. Police were informed and they responded with the canine unit and began tracking the suspects. They tracked the suspects up to Nakuwadde village where the dog led them up to a certain house and they arrested one suspect and recovered the gun that was robbed from the security guard,” says Patrick Onyango the KMP Spokesperson.

He says police responded with a canine who led them to a house in Nakuwadde and arrested one suspect with the gun stolen from security guard.
