Mao to DP MPs: Come and tell us what exactly is wrong with our cooperation with Museveni

Mao says aggrieved party members and leaders should now come out and make their case during the party retreat scheduled for 1st October 2022 at St. Adolf Formation Center in Fort Portal city.

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Democratic Party (DP) President Mr Norbert Mao has told his party members, and MPs in the eleventh parliament to come out and point out what exactly is wrong with the cooperation agreement DP signed with President Museveni’s ruling NRM party.

Mao, who is now the Minister of Justice and Constitutional affairs says such aggrieved party members and leaders who have issues with the cooperation should now come out and make their case during the party retreat scheduled for Saturday 1st October 2022 at St. Adolf Formation Center in Fort Portal city.

The minister’s spokesperson Mr. Okoler Opio Lo Amanu says that the Fort Portal City meeting will be a NEC-level opportunity for such aggrieved stakeholders to make their case.

The chief event convener Owek. Christine Mugerwa Kasule says that all DP stakeholders have been notified about the platform that will be availed to talk about all important matters including Mao’s much-publicized Cooperation Agreement with Gen YK Museveni.

Also, other issues to be discussed during the upcoming DP NEC meeting include the party’s gender policy and sexual harassment policy, amendments to the party Constitution, resource mobilization strategy and the party’s strategic plan.
