KAMPALA, UGANDA: Speke Resort Munyonyo and Munyonyo Common Wealth Resort have been nominated for the 2022 Ekkula Tourism Award under the category of Best Luxury and Business Hotel.
A beautiful and luxurious resort seated on the shores of Lake Victoria, Speke Resort is part of Speke Group of Hotels under the Ruparelia Group of Companies owned by businessman Sudhir Ruparelia.
The Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards are a privately funded effort that is passionate about increasing travel by yearly teaching, honouring, and rewarding important tourism industry stakeholders.
Held annually, the Ekkula PAT Awards nominate, exhibit, recognise and award individuals and companies that selflessly put Uganda’s tourism to admirable heights. These include both Ugandans and non-Ugandans.
Due to COVID-19 limitations that halted the awards for the last two years, the awards are currently in their fifth edition, and this year’s edition will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.
This year’s edition of the awards will run under the theme “Rethinking Tourism and Promotion of Green Initiatives.”
