BUYENDE, UGANDA: The Kyabazinga of Busoga Kingdom His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV is set to launch New Life Schools Buwaidha, a multipurpose-built school project to enable children in Buyende district reach their full potential.

The official school launch will be on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the newly constructed school blocks in Buwaidha, Buyende district, in Eastern Uganda.

Buyende like other districts in the Busoga sub-region has over time struggled to deliver quality education with many government-owned schools offering free education programs like Universal Primary Education and Universal Secondary Education failing to meet the educational needs and targets of learners.

And this is where New Life Schools Buwaidha, a privately owned school project comes in to partner with Obwa Kyabazinga Bwa Busoga to support vulnerable and underprivileged children living in Buwaidha village and the surrounding areas with easy access to quality education.

The school will officially be launched on Saturday, January 28, 2023 by the Kyabazinga of Busoga, His Majesty William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV in Buwaidha, Buyende district.

The first phase of the school project is a kindergarten section which according to the proprietors is ready to open for the academic and break the ground for the start of constructing the primary section.

Eng Isabirye Gerald, the Executive Director of New Life Schools said the long-term project will have the kindergarten, primary, and secondary sections, boarding facilities, a recreational Center, teachers’ housing and a medical centre.

“We believe that opening a school in the Buwaidha area is imperative to the wellbeing of the children not only in their education but in developing them psychologically, emotionally and socially and giving them the chance to experience life as a normal child should,” Eng Isabirye said ahead of the launch.

The school project offers more than just classroom learning. The school, according to Eng Isabirye, will provide community-based projects and training development programs, outside of school hours.
