Ugandan songbird, Juliana Kanyomozi has dropped the video of her latest song “Omwana” coming after almost four years of silence as the singer looks to bounce back on the music industry scene with a new song.
In the song which is now available on Juliana’s social media and YouTube channel, the 42-year-old who starred alongside her ‘bae’ talks about marriage and the qualities of a good husband while taking a swipe at traditional norms like bride price.
The now popular video has already attracted social media ululation as it is packed with events from a traditional marriage ceremony, befitting a setup for traditional events like Kwanjula and Weddings in the country.
In one of the extracted lines translated from the song, Juliana is heard singing; “I’m asking, how is the baby? I chose well, how do you see my lover? Now know that you’ve made me international… that you’ll never embarrass me… I tattoed you on my neck… I’m saying bye.”
She continues: “You will now be a child of this family… they shouldn’t bargain because there is no selling… mum, this is my person… You laid a foundation and showed that you don’t lie.”

Juliana Kanyomozi who made an excellent comeback in the music industry last year in August with a well-attended concert held at Kampala Serena Hotel will now seek to regain music fame with this new song definitely appeals to people organising weddings, introduction ceremonies and anything in that line.
Her new song “Omwana” gives the same vibe as Rema Namakula’s latest hit single Ngonze, which was also produced by Nessim.
