KAMPALA, UGANDA: The Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni will on Thursday, February 09, 2023 release the results of the 2022 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), a highly placed source at the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has confirmed.
On Wednesday (today), UNEB led by Mr Dan Odongo the Executive Secretary together with stakeholders met the Education Minister for a briefing ahead of the release of the results as per the mandate of the board.
The function for the official release of the 2022 UCE Results will take place at State House, Kampala on Thursday afternoon.
the UCE results will be the second set of the national exams to be released after PLE results that were released last week.
According to UBEN figures, a total of 349,445 candidates registered to sit the UCE examination from 3703 Examination Centres countrywide. Of these, 175,923 (50.3%) of the candidates are males, while 173,522 (49.7%) are females.
A total of 114,200 (32.7%) of the candidates were funded under the Universal Secondary Education (USE) Programme, while 235,245 (77.3%) candidates are non-US.
Additionally, fifty-one (50) of the candidates wrote their examination from Luzira Prison, while Five hundred nineteen (519) of the candidates were Special Needs Education (SNE) candidates.
