BIG HEARTED: Victoria University announces free admissions for S.6 vacists

While addressing journalists at the function, Dr Muganga said VU has embarked on offering free admission and registration for all S.6 vacists, and the offer is valid effective upon the release of last year’s UACE results.

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Victoria University Kampala (VU) has announced it is offering free admission and registration for S.6 vacists who sat their A’ Level Exams in a move to enable students from financially struggling families to gain access to the high-class education the university offers.

This was revealed on Saturday, February 11, 2023, by Vice Chancellor Dr Lawrence Muganga as the University celebrated the milestone of gaining a charter status, and a plethora of sports trophies it won in the 2022 East African Inter-University games.

Speaking to journalists at the function, Dr Muganga said that VU has embarked on offering free admission and registration for all S.6 vacists and that the offer is valid upon the release of last year’s UACE results which is due next week.

”PLE & UCE exams are out and students are now joining S.1 & S.5 but our parents are facing a challenge of fees. So, as a University that cares about Ugandans, especially our dear parents, we have decided to offer free registration and admissions to all students who finished their A’Level,” announced Dr Muganga on Saturday evening.

He added; “Therefore my dear parents, just bring children to Victoria University, come and obtain your admission free of charge, you will only pay tuition, which is of course affordable.”

Muganga also rallied Ugandans to enrol for its most affordable and internationally recognized Law programs after getting full approval from the Uganda Law Council in 2021; adding that as VU, they have already invited NCHE officials to come and inspect the standard the University has set for its Law School which is fast gaining momentum from the Ugandan community.

“This is one of the Universities that have set a good standard for the Law School. We have the best facilities one can dream about. Our moot Court is better than some of our real Courts in our districts. The library has almost every book and other material needed by law students. So have no doubt about our Degree and Master of Laws Programs. We have since invited the NCHE officials to come and see the beauty at our Law School and am sure they will be satisfied.”
