KAMPALA, UGANDA: StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions, Vipers Sports Club has parted ways head coach Beto Bianchi after just two months in charge.
The Kitende-based club in a Thursday statement confirmed that the Brazilian coach had been relinquished of his role with immediate effect.
“Vipers Sports Club announces that the contract of head Coach Beto Bianchi has been terminated with immediate effect,” said the communication from the club.
“The club would like to thank Bianchi for his tireless efforts during his time at the club and wish him success in his future endeavours.”
The Brazilian was appointed on January 10, 2023, to replace his compatriot Roberto Oliviera who left Vipers to join Tanzanian outfits, Simba SC.
Under the Brazilian, Vipers played seven games (4 CAF Champions League, one Uganda Premier League match and 2 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup games), losing three and drawing three, with only one win.
The epitome of his exit followed a dismal performance in the CAF Champions League group stage fixtures where the club managed just a single point with no goals scored in four games finishing bottom of Group C.
