Husinah Nassuna praises Muganga, Rajiv in special “Thank-You Message” after Miss Elite Uganda Triumph

As Miss Uganda Elite 2023/2024, Nassuna will represent Uganda at the Miss Elite International beauty pageant that will be held in Egypt.

Reigning Miss Elite Uganda 2023, Husinah Nassuna, a Bachelor of Nursing student at Victoria University has penned a lengthy heartfelt Thank-you Message acknowledging the support and guidance of special people who have been key to her achievement in the journey thus far.

The 21-year-old who also scooped a full scholarship at the University in her Nursing course thanked the Directors of VU, notably Mr Rajiv Ruparelia, the Vice Chancellor Prof Lawrence Muganga and the staff, plus students who have been supportive of her since the journey to Miss Uganda 2023/24.

As Miss Uganda Elite 2023/2024, Nassuna will represent Uganda at the Miss Elite International beauty pageant that will be held in Egypt.

The University’s beauty queen says she is committed to using the Miss Elite International platform to showcase the beauty, talent, and culture of Uganda, and to make a positive impact in the world.

Below is her full Thank-You Message

“Dear Directors of Victoria University, The Vice-Chancellor and Management, Staff and Students of Victoria University, my promoters, all Victoria University Ambassadors, my family and all voters. I am humbled and honoured to receive the Miss Uganda Elite 2023/2024 award, and I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for your support, encouragement and belief in me. Winning this award is truly a dream come true and I am grateful for this incredible opportunity.”

“I would also like to express my appreciation to the Miss Uganda Organizers for their great work ethic, nurturing and guidance. Their strong sense of discipline and commitment to promoting beauty with a purpose has inspired me to become a better version of myself. This platform has given me the opportunity to showcase my talents and contribute to the betterment of our society. I am grateful to the organizers for providing me with the platform to fulfill my dreams and aspirations.”

“I also want to congratulate my colleague Hanna Kalema Tumukunde on being crowned Miss Uganda 2023. Allow me also congratulate my sisters; the runners-up, Whitney Martha Ademun and Agwang Proscy Premah. Thank you for running a good race.”

I would like to specifically thank the Vice Chancellor of Victoria University Prof. Lawrence Muganga, for his encouragement, advice, and support throughout my journey. Prof. Muganga, your dedication to promoting authentic learning in the East African Region and the continent, in general, has been a constant source of inspiration for me, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow under your guidance.

Prof. Muganga, allow me thank your entire team, for the support. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such amazing individuals who believe in my dreams and aspirations.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Victoria University’s Management and the Vice Chancellor, for awarding me with a Full Scholarship as a way of celebrating my victory as Miss Elite Uganda. This scholarship is not only a recognition of my achievements but also a tremendous opportunity for me to pursue my dreams and make a positive impact in my community. It also reminds other students that we can still be supported by our university, if we have anything big we are churning out.

I would like to specifically thank Queen Sheeba Karungi, Mr. Bagenda Sam (a.k.a Dr. Bbosa), Comedians Madrat and Chiko, and all Victoria University Ambassadors and individuals, for standing with me, to rally people to vote for me, during this race. Queen Sheeba, I hope, you are now proud of how far we have come, and it’s just the beginning.

Now, to you my Sweet Mum, and the entire family! I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for your unwavering love and support throughout my life, especially during tough times. Your love has been a constant source of strength and motivation for me.
Your unwavering belief in me, even during the darkest days, has inspired me to keep pushing forward and never give up. Your words of encouragement and your presence in my life have helped me to overcome countless obstacles and challenges.

This victory is not just mine, but it is ours as a family. It is a testament to the incredible bond and resilience that we share. Thank you for being the shining light in my life, and for always reminding me of the strength and courage that lies within me.

This is all for you! I love you all from the bottom of my heart, and I am forever grateful for your love and support. My father must be proud of me, wherever he is.

Special thanks go to my dear friends, all those who voted for me, and the media. You all who went above and beyond to support me in this journey, especially those who voted for me every day. Your unwavering dedication and support have touched my heart, and I am grateful for the love and encouragement that you have shown me throughout this competition. I am truly blessed to have such amazing friends in my life.
