Achievements, Setbacks and Future Prospects

The company has quickly grown its customer base owing to their good customer service, quality services, affordable prices and a team of experts with vast knowledge in developing technology product designs and innovations.

Eteku, the CEO at Shamos Tech Solutions Ltd recounts on how their start was difficult but with zeal and ambition, and building the right team made them excel in establishing a Tech business that is rapidly expanding and earning trust of many clients.

“We want to be the number one trusted Software Solutions Provider and choice for businesses in town when it comes to Digital product development, Design and Innovation” Eteku asserts with a smile during a conversation with FAM Media.

While narrating the company’s achievements over their three years of operation, Eteku recounts numerous projects they have completed for companies, government Agencies and Departments.

He emphasizes that their dream as a company is to enable businesses and institutions build digital capacity through embracing the power of technology with high quality product design and innovation.

However, despite their success in building a successful business from scratch in a short time. He highlights major challenges in the business which include breakneck competition, low technology adoption, and most clients do not give detailed information about what they want. And some have no clue on what they actually want.

He describes Uganda as a technophobic society. “Majority of the CEOs of companies, business and organization owners were born in Millennial and earlier generations. They were born before Internet proliferation and are slow to adopt technology,” says Mr. Eteku.

The good news is that the majority of Ugandans now fall in Generation Z (Born 1995-2012) and Generation Alpha (Born 2013-to date). These are young people who are fast to adopt technology which gives us hope that technology is the next big thing in Uganda. The coming generations will be much driven by technology in every aspect than this generation.

“We are currently working on other company products and we will launch them as soon as they’re ready. We look forward to growing the company within Uganda and later scale to other countries in East Africa and beyond” say Eteku while sharing future projection of Shamos Tech Solutions Ltd.
