More details emerge on NGO boss killed by unknown assailants in Mbale

MBALE, UGANDA: Additional details have emerged on Mr Herbert Galusha, the executive director of Echoes of Children’s Voices ECOV- Uganda who was grisly murdered by unknown assailants on Friday last week.

DailyExpress on Sunday reported how the yet-to-be-identified assailants killed Mr Galusha at his home next to Mbale primary school in Mbale City Northern Division on Good Friday and dragged his body next to Tobin Health Center along Mbale-Kumi road.

Now the latest information reaching our desk has revealed that Galusha was not only the ED of ECoV Uganda, but was also the newly appointed Country Director of Amigos Worldwide Uganda, a local Christian Non-Governmental Organization based in the United Kingdom with operations in Uganda.

According to Ms Christine, the Human Resource Manager at Amigos Worldwide Uganda, Galusha had just assumed office last month and his death is such a great loss to the organization which greatly valued him.

“He was expressly the best candidate from the interviews we conducted and he took on office effective 1st March 2023. He had great plans and ideas of moving Amigos Worldwide Uganda into new and greater territories,” Christine stated in a statement.

“We are deeply saddened by his passing and we pray for God to comfort the family and be with us all during this trying time. We also pray that the assailants are apprehended and brought to justice.”
