KISORO, UGANDA: Police in Kisoro have arrested two suspects in connection with the alleged murder of 66-year-old Jack Tukahirwa, a resident of Kyogo village, Kagunga parish, Bukimbiri Sub County in Kisoro district.
The Kigezi regional police spokesperson Mr Elly Maate said that on Sunday at around 9:30 PM, the deceased left the bar of one Fred Tukacungurwa and on his way home; he was attacked by assailants who cut him to death.
Maate added the body of the deceased was yesterday morning at around 06:30 AM discovered by his grandson Gordon Turyamureba who found the body lying in a pool of blood and informed relatives who later informed the police.
Without disclosing the particulars of the suspects not to jeopardize investigations, Maate said that the two suspects are being held at Kisoro police station as investigations take course.
He said a postmortem was conducted from Kisoro Hospital and the body was handed over to the relatives for burial.
