How MP Komakech is making Aruu County and Pader great again

In this article, Daily Express brings you weekly news on the achievements and contributions of Members of Parliament from the Lango, Acholi, and Karamoja sub-regions of Northern Uganda.

This week we feature; Hon Komakech Christopher, the MP for Aruu County in Pader District who was in 2021 elected to the eleven parliament of Uganda for the first time under the independent ticket. He has been in parliament for two solid years and has done more than enough for the people of Pader, Acholi sub-region as well as Northern Uganda.

Speaking to DailyExpress over the weekend, Mr Komakech outlined Seven key Achievements he has so far made in the last two years he made in the 11th parliament, especially to the people of Pader district. These are listed below;

  1. “As an MP, I bought one brand new ambulance, one at 430 million shillings only for the people of Aruu County. The ambulance has a freeze, electric light and oxygen provision.
  2. Secondly, I lobbied the central government and Pader now has another ambulance making two in total.
  3. According to the MP, before he joined the 11th parliament, there was no proper ambulance in Aruu County, but now the payment of the ambulance driver and quick response to an accident is all financially on his account.
  4. In Education, Komakech confirmed that the go-back to school campaign he initiated has attracted a huge number of school dropouts who were given scholastic materials such as school bags, and mathematical sets among others. Above all, the MP is sponsoring five doctors and ten nurses from all seven sub-counties and two town councils of Purabnga and Pader town council. Hopefully, in two years they will be out.
  5. Before even joining parliament, I distributed a basin, a bar of soap, a food container, a feeding cup and a medical book to pregnant mothers for a health service delivery I am soon bringing back the same development to boost maternal health and make Pader great again.

    49 parishes in Aruu county have all got UGX 600,000 thousand shillings each respectively in their groups with Adongkena in Puranga sub-county and Rackoko parish excelling with profits of 3 million and 4 million respectively in their distinguished group. Pader town council got 10 million whereas Puranga has 5 million because they haven’t yet opened their bank account and hopefully they will benefit from the 5 million balance. This was his personal support to boost household income in Aruu County.
  6. As an MP I Have lobbied the government for the provision of Kilak Corner technical school minibus among other things yet to come very soon in the education sector of technical and vocational wing. ‘I wrote a letter to the office of the Ministry of Education and Sports about the completion of Ogom Seed Secondary School and I know very soon First Lady Hon Minister Janet Kataha Museveni will handle it so that construction continues, ‘said MP Komakech.
  7. Tractor and Fuso Lorry are yet being lobbied to support agriculture and transportation of local traders called Awara-Awara to the market.
