OTUKE, UGANDA: The Otuke Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Ms Jillian Akullu has been transferred to Kole district, DailyExpress has learnt.
Ms Akullu confirmed the development in a telephone interview with this reporter on Friday, June 02, 2023, saying she received the transfer to Kole district and only waiting for an official handover.
She however assured the general public that as she waits for the handover from her predecessor, she is still the Resident District Commissioner of Otuke district and therefore continues to execute her role as prescribed.
“Transfers are normal and always are with immediate effect but I am still Waiting for official handover communication from the office of the presidency,” said Ms Akullu.
She also advised parents to take their children to school instead of engaging them in weeding the garden though there is no rain.
Ms Akullu regretted the level of poverty which is now preventing most parents from taking their children to school on time, however, advised them to pay school fees on the advice of the school administration.
According to her, some pupils in Otuke and Lango sub-region are just busy by the roadside selling mangoes.
